Alphonsa eye hospital, Pala is a full-fledged eye hospital that caters to the need of thousands of people in central Kerala. Established in the year 1984 it was the first eye hospital in private sector in the district of Kottayam and was one of the first eye hospitals of Kerala. It is a multistoried building situated in the heart of Pala town near to the Kottaramattom bus station. Almost all modern ophthalmic services including facilities for latest cataract surgery, Retina clinic and Laser unit, Glaucoma clinic, Cornea services, Low Vision clinic, Community ophthalmology, Contact lenses and Optical services etc are offered here. The faculty consists of renowned ophthalmologists of the state.
